Community Workshops
Community Workshops bring people together to talk openly about respect, resilience and wellbeing — building the everyday skills that help prevent abuse before it happens, in clubs, workplaces and community groups across Aotearoa.
- Who it is for
- Community groups, clubs and organisations
- Ages
- All ages — workshops are shaped to the group
- Duration
- A single workshop or a short series, by arrangement
- Cost
- Free or low-cost, depending on group size and funding available
Costs are kept as low as we can make them, and we will always tell you honestly if that is a barrier we can work around.
What changes
Stated as capabilities people hold afterwards, not as activities we delivered. Activities are easy to count and prove nothing.
Participants can name what respect and resilience look like in practice
Groups leave with a shared understanding of what they want to hold each other to
Participants know how to support a friend, colleague or teammate
How it runs
Published in full, so you always know exactly what to expect before you get in touch.
1 — Awareness
Naming the patterns that precede harm, without fear-based messaging.
2 — Resilience and wellbeing
Practical tools for coping, communicating and supporting one another.
3 — Holding the standard
What the group commits to changing or continuing after the workshop ends.
How this programme is measured
You receive your own cohort data. We publish the aggregate, including the results that are not flattering.
Participant feedback collected after every workshop
Number of workshops delivered and communities reached
Keeping people safe
Non-negotiable and identical across every programme. Our safeguarding and child protection policies are available on request.
Trauma-informed facilitation; participants may step back from any activity at any time
Support information provided at every workshop
Facilitators are trained and, where they work with young people, vetted
Where this sits in our model
Pillar 02 — Education
Workshops and educational programmes that give people the language and confidence to recognise abuse before it escalates.
Pillar 05 — Community
Community engagement, volunteering and events, so support outlasts any single workshop or funding round.
Pillar 06 — Respect
Promoting healthy, respectful relationships and empowering positive role models in every community we work with.
